Danny McDonald, PhD is an Instructional Technology Consultant, Sr. for the Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning. He earned his B.S. degree (1998) in mathematics, an M.Div. (2008) in theology/philosophy, and a PhD (2014) in philosophy. Danny has over 23 years of experience in education, having served in a variety of roles in higher education administration, teaching, and faculty training. His background in higher education includes experience in online pedagogy best practices and empowering faculty to provide quality online learning experiences for their students. Danny also serves as Senior Lecturer I in Philosophy at UofL. Danny’s research interest includes epistemology (particularly how the act of knowing is a communal act), critical thinking (particularly the “soft skills” necessary to be a critical thinker), the nature of philosophy in a STEM-focused age, and the role of listening as an act of knowing.
