Patsy Carruthers is Senior Director of UK Online. A Murray native, Patsy earned her bachelor's degree in journalism and English from Murray State University and her MA Ed. from Northern Kentucky University. She has worked as a journalist, an educator, and a leader in educational media and technology. She spent 10 years at WCET-TV (PBS) in Cincinnati, where she produced educational media, led technology projects and workshops for K-12 teachers, and supervised content development for various areas of the public television station. At the University of Kentucky, she has led the creation of creative spaces for student and faculty media development and has grown campus face-to-face and online teaching technology support services. Currently she supervises staff who support online learning through instructional design, instructional technology, digital media, and Distance Learning compliance and operations.
